Youths in Osun

We recently trained 22 people in adire and batik, which are traditional Nigerian textile arts. During the training, participants were taught the basics of adire and batik, including the various techniques and designs that are commonly used. They were also taught how to prepare the materials, including the fabrics, dyes, and wax.

The training program was conducted over a period of several weeks, with participants attending classes and workshops several times a week. At the end of the training, participants had the opportunity to showcase their work in a public exhibition, which helped them to gain exposure and build their confidence.

Overall, the training program was a success, as participants were able to acquire new skills and knowledge that could help them to start their own businesses or work in the textile industry.

School Sponsorship

As part of our efforts to promote economic empowerment, we sponsored two entrepreneurs to further their skill acquisition at Karakata Business School.

Karakata Business School is a reputable institution that offers training in various business and vocational skills. The entrepreneurs selected by Ajíhìnrere were given the opportunity to enroll in one of the school's programs to enhance their knowledge and expertise in their respective fields.

Through this sponsorship, the two entrepreneurs were able to acquire new skills and knowledge that would help them grow their businesses and increase their income. This initiative is one of the ways the organization supports entrepreneurship and empowers individuals to improve their livelihoods.

Food Provision

We provided food assistance to over 100 people in the first quarter of the year. We recognized the pressing need for food security, especially for those who were struggling to make ends meet. With this in mind, we sourced for food donations from various donors, including local businesses and individuals, and distributed them to families and individuals in need.

We also partnered with local food banks to ensure that the food reached those who needed it the most. Through these efforts, we were able to make a positive impact on the lives of many people and contribute to the fight against hunger and poverty.
